Terrebonne bay. grand isle had that 146-mile-per-hour wind gust. one thing thats interesting with the structure of the storm, were now seeing dual eye walls. the storm had been about 20 miles wide. thats the clear eye here. then another ring on the outside of that. so thats what we call a double eye wall that is 50 miles wide. the max winds will come down with the storm a little bit so you think thats great but the problem is then the wind field expands so the damage path could be even wider so ...

Weather service will be out looking at the damage later on today to determine what it really was. now, you cant tell what the damage or the strength of a tornado by looking at a car or by looking at a trailer or by looking at anything made of aluminum or a tin roof or aluminum shed. those things come apart quickly. its the sound, stick, brick homes that weather service will go out and see how many damage occurred there. what i see there is a damage path of less than half a mile. thats good news....

Its not going to get worse for you. everybody else, theyre still trying to pick up pieces through here. about -- ill say 20, it could be 20 to 30. a 30-mile wide f-4 tornado sat over your house for 30 minutes as the eye rolled from one side to the other. thats what these people dealt with. even in america, an f-4 tornado goes by and hits your house for eight seconds and its gone. this was a lumbering storm over these areas not just for ten seconds but more tens of minutes. once you lose a board ...
