Just before being dismissed for Easter break, Notre Dame Prep seniors Lara Valasquez and Chloe Grindall were called out of class to meet with school administrators for a surprise announcement,

Oakland County was well represented at the Division 3 MHSAA girls swimming and diving championships on Saturday. Four teams from the county – Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood, Birmingham Marian, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, and Detroit Country Day all finished in the top eight. 

Detroit Country Day and Pontiac Notre Dame Prep had their annual meeting at DCDS’ Shaw Field on Wednesday, with Division 3’s No. 2-ranked Yellowjackets getting a pair of first-half goals eight minutes apart, and blanking the No. 5 Fighting Irish, 2-0, to win the rivalry game for the first time since 2020.

Jacob Tuttle has opened his senior season with back-to-back five touchdown games, the most recent coming at NDPMA’s William William Kozyra Alumni Field on Friday, as the Fighting Irish won 56-12, manhandling a Hastings team that won 10 games a year ago, and won a Division 4 district title.
