KSW kicks off 2021 with a snug event featuring more of their workhorse talent without too much flash and a lot of focus on the meat and potatoes of the game.
French phenom Saladdine Parnasse (14-0, 1 draw) has been a joy to watch in KSW, having adequate development for a bright prospect and evolving nicely to be a solid and proper featherweight champion. His pinpoint striking coupled with his takedown and submission defense have made him a problem, and he’s got a great challenge ahead. This time he faces Brazilian/Austrian Daniel Torres (11-4), another striker with a Karate base that is perfectly comfortable taking the fight to the ground and loves to get into prolonged exchanges to land damage.

This series started during my time as a writer for Bleacher Report, continued through my tenures at Today’s Knockout and FanSided, and now it stays alive another year here at Combat Press.
Let’s examine the middleweight division, a weight class that has been filling up with talent. It’s been a roller-coaster ride in terms of title changes and growth in this weight class.

Olympic gold medalist Szymon Kolecki will headline KSW 58 on Jan. 30 as the former weightlifting champion takes on Martin Zawada in the headline fight from Poland.
KSW officials confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Saturday.
A two-time medal winner in the Olympics, Kolecki transitioned to mixed martial arts after his weightlifting career was over. He’s amassed an impressive 8-1 record so far including back-to-back wins in KSW including a TKO victory against strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski as well as a victory against Damian Janikowski in his most recent appearance.
Now Kolecki will face off with Zawada, who is the brother of current UFC fighter David Zawada.
