The FHPS superintendent announced he will retire this summer. It comes just weeks after Superintendent Dan Behm admitted to removing controversial books from the district’s libraries.

The board of a Kent County school district will meet for the first time after its superintendent sent an email to staff and apologized for removing books from their libraries this past summer.

On Wednesday night, the Forest Hills superintendent sent a letter to district staff, taking full responsibility for his actions and apologizing for removing books from the school's library.

On Monday, the district’s superintendent, Dan Behm, introduced a draft, which he says gives families more options over what materials their child accesses.
