East Helena High School will graduate its first high school seniors this Friday, marking a big step for the relatively new high school and its students.

For the 2022-23 school year, the high school is home to 566 students and 38.5 full-time equivalent teachers.

The East Helena school board has certified the election results in regards to the district’s mill levy that failed on the May 2 ballot.

Early results were favorable for 3 levies for Helenas schools.

In lieu of enough drivers East Helena Activities, Maintenance, and Facilities Director Shaun Murgel and Superintendent Dan Rispens have stepped up to fill the void.
