Article content The first step for photographer Tim Nguyen when working with the six dancers who became part of his CUBE project was a lengthy conversation about what he didn’t want. It was during the summer and restrictions had been somewhat loosened in Calgary, which was in the middle of both a heatwave and enjoying the short-lived freedom of Alberta’s third stage of re-opening. The dancers, most of whom came from the University of Calgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts, had the tricky task of conveying Nguyen’s mental turmoil and crashing psyche.
