The end of May marks the first of two major changes impacting Florida unemployment benefits.

TALLAHASSEE –Florida plans to stop providing $300 a week in additional federal unemployment benefits as it pushes for people to return to work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The extra pandemic-era unemployment benefits largely don’t keep workers from accepting new jobs, according to a new paper by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
