A teacher at Navasota High School has been arrested after federal authorities say he viewed and shared files of child pornography on social media.

Daniel Byrd, 29, was arrested for allegedly distributing and possessing child pornography through Kik. Byrd is reportedly a teacher at Navasota High School.

Daniel Byrd was arrested by authorities on Thursday, March 23.

A teacher from College Station accused of distribution and possession of child pornography is expected to face a judge on Friday, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.
