Town striker Pablo Couñago got back to goalscoring form last night in the reserves 2-2 draw with Derby, but then limped off just prior to half-time with a hamstring injury. The seriousness of the problem will be known later today.

Towns reserves demolished a young Nottingham Forest second string 5-1 at Portman Road on Wednesday night. Alun Armstrong netted a hat-trick while Dean Bowditch scored twice for an unusually strong Town side.

Towns Reserves started the new season with a 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace. Pablo Couñago, Fabian Wilnis and Shefki Kuqi all started for the Blues second string.

Towns reserves continued their pre-season with a 5-0 home win over Ridgeons League club Histon Towns second string at Playford Road. All the goals came in a second half dominated by the home side.

A large crowd on a sunny evening saw a young Ipswich side take on Woodbridge Town. It was a very physical game but with moments of skill as both teams battled hard for victory.
