Its Christmas in July for the makers of 148 movies from all over the world. Theyve just been selected for the third year of the Fort Smith International Film Festival, happening Aug. 25-26.

This is a busy time of year when it comes to the local film scene. The state hosts three of its larger festivals back to back to back: the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, the Fayetteville Film Festival, and the Arkansas Cinema Societys Filmland.
