IT will be a case of lights, camera and action when a film school is launched in Inverclyde this year. RIG Arts is running the three-year project which will offer local young people an opportunity to learn about all aspects of the industry. They will join professional scriptwriters and set designers to make their own short film. Karen Orr, of RIG Arts, said: We are asking young people to create a short film inspired by Broomhill Project and Northern Soul in conjunction with industry professionals. The project aims to teach young people new skills and realise their ambitions. It will give them the opportunity to create their own work, right through to the finished product.
