Hartshorne 9-year-old Sydnie Wynn Graves solidified her third consecutive trip to Las Vegas for the Junior World Finals Rodeo with a victory in Saturdayâs KK Run For Vegas / Barrel Bash youth championship in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Sydnie Wynn and her 16-year-old equine companion, âNicki Nick Barâ dominated her division comprised of a host of national competitors vying for qualification for the prestigious Las Vegas event.
âThe KKRFV approves around 15 -20 events nationwide. In order to earn a coveted ticket to Las Vegas, you have to win first or second in an approved event. Itâs extremely competitive and truly the highest level of youth barrel racing in the world,â said Sydnie Wynnâs father, professional barrel racer Lance Graves.

COLUMBUS, Nebraska (The Columbus Telegram) U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders was spotted all over Columbus throughout the weekend. Well, at least digitally.
Sanders (D-Vermont) was dressed for comfort rather than fashion when he was photographed at the inauguration for President Joe Biden last week. The photo of him sitting with his legs and arms crossed comfortably has been superimposed into images from all over the world, and numerous Columbus area businesses couldn’t resist getting in on the action.
“The intention was to make people laugh and get a good giggle out of it,” said Christina Meyer, co-owner of Juice Stop, 2334 23rd St. in Columbus.
