A law introduced last legislative session by State Rep. Deanne Mazzochi (R-Elmhurst) would have prevented a recent spate of prosecutions for election fraud in DuPage County, the legislator claims. Darrick Kent, 43, and Amy Kent, 41, of Austin, Texas, have been charged with perjury for saying they had lived in DuPage for at least 30 days before the election, when they had not, according to the state s attorney s office. Three others are accused of trying to cast ballots for someone other than themselves. Adam P. Butler, 51, of Lisle, is charged with forgery and perjury. Thomas E.
