An Amazon Fresh supermarket is set to open in Paramus this summer at a former Fairway Market off Route 17.

The e-commerce behemoth's move comes in an effort to focus more on Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Go and Amazon Style stores, as well as its Just Walk Out cashier-less technology.

Cashier-less stores operate based on systems incorporating computer vision, cameras and sensors, and deep learning algorithms.
