The study,
titled Covid-19 and Excess Mortality in Medicare Beneficiaries, is posted as a pre-print on MedRxiv, and concludes that overall mortality among Medicare patients increased from 4% to 7.5% for those in the community who had a diagnosis of COVID-19 during 2020, while mortality increased from 20.3% to 24.6% among seniors residing in long-term care facilities.
