Informatica is launching several partner-focused initiatives that the cloud data management software developer says will help partners – especially systems integrators with which the vendor is allied – accelerate customers’ cloud and digital transformation efforts.
The initiatives, being announced Tuesday at the start of Informatica’s Elevate Partner Summit, include new consumption-based pricing for customers, expanded training for partners, and new low-code/no-code application development that partners can bring to their cloud application development and modernization practices.

Data cloud service provider Snowflake has invested $20 million in business analytics software developer ThoughtSpot in a move that expands on a technology alliance the two companies established nearly two years ago.
The companies announced Tuesday that Snowflake Ventures, Snowflake’s venture capital arm, has acquired an equity stake in Sunnyvale, Calif.-based ThoughtSpot with the $20 million strategic investment.

Next-generation database developer MongoDB and Google Cloud are extending the strategic alliance they launched two years ago with a new partnership deal under which the MongoDB Atlas cloud database will be integrated with a slew of Google Cloud services.
The move is expected to provide systems integrators, ISVs and other solution provider partners of the two companies with new opportunities in cloud application development and cloud data migration.
Databricks To Offer Its Big Data Analytics System On Google Cloud

Databricks’ Unified Data Platform will be available on the Google Cloud Platform beginning in April, the two companies said Wednesday, completing a trifecta for Databricks whose software already runs on the Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
Databrick’s software also will be integrated with the Google BigQuery business analytics system and leverage the Google Kubernetes Engine – enabling businesses and organizations to deploy Databricks in a containerized cloud environment for the first time.
Big Data Software Developer Matillion Raises $100M In Series D Round

Data integration and transformation software developer Matillion has raised $100 million in a Series D round of funding, the company said Tuesday.
The funding round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Battery Ventures, Sapphire Ventures and Scale Venture Partners, along with financing from Silicon Valley Bank U.K. Branch.
Matillion is one of a new generation of data ETL (extract, transform and load) software used to prepared and move data from operational systems to cloud-based platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse and Google Big Query, for business analytics, data visualization, machine learning and other tasks.
