PUTRAJAYA: Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has congratulated his party boss Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob over his appointment as Prime Minister.

pic) has declined to comment about his party’s decision to withdraw support for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
“Right now, what I want to do is to work as usual. I still need to carry out my responsibility as Defence Minister,” said the newly-appointed Deputy Prime Minister when contacted.
On his job scope as the Deputy Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri said he has yet to meet Muhyiddin officially to discuss the matter.
“I hope to have a meeting with the Prime Minister so that we can discuss how I can be of assistance to him,” he said.
