STEUBENVILLE An Amsterdam man charged with assaulting a female a month ago was indicted by the Jefferson County grand jury Wednesday for felonious assault and domestic violence.
David Allen Hinerman, 118 Arch St., was one of nine people ordered by the grand jury to stand trial.
Hinerman, 45, allegedly punched a woman several times and dragged her by the hair through his home on Dec. 12, then when she tried to run to a neighbor’s home for help shoved her into a parked vehicle. The neighbor had told the responding officers he heard the commotion and came outside to find the woman laying on the ground behind the car with Hinerman hovering above her claiming she’d poked him with a syringe.
