Little Free Libraries have been popping up in cities and towns across the region for more than a decade, and Leominster is no exception.
Several residents have taken it upon themselves to erect a Little Free Library, the idea behind it being that you take a book or leave a book like a library, but without having to check materials out or pay late fees when you forget they are due.
There is a Little Free Library at 17 Theresa Ave., and one at Barrett Park fabricated from recycled and reclaimed materials donated by members of the community. The little library itself is made of reclaimed wood flooring from a barn.
