Suspect James Patrick dillon is shot by police and in elmhurst hospital in stable condition and not yet been charged in this rampage that killed one man and injured two others. Police say it was a six hour ordeal that ended with shots fired. The suspect James Patrick dillon reportedly off his psychiatric medication. Once cornered by Police Sunday evening the nypd says he put up a fight. Knife in one hand, beer bottle filled with an accelerant in the other. The suspect then sprayed the two officers with the liquid burning their hands and face. The officer then discharged suspect. It started at 11 20 sunday morning when investigators say dillon slashed his neighbor a 39 year old woman in her face astoria. Thats when the pursuit for dillon began. Four hours later two more victims, officers say 55 year this liquor store was slashed in the face by dillon and later died and then a 61 year old homeless man inside the store at the time was sprayed with a chemical and set on fire.
