It’s all ‘hoppening’ in the Whitsundays with Ballistic Beer Co set to open a new craft brewery in Cannonvale, turning the tap on a rapidly growing food and dining market.
The award-winning brewing company, known for its small batch brews and special releases, has acquired the Whitsunday Islands Brewing Company in Cannonvale.
Ballistic CEO David Kitchen said the addition of the 1000 litre brewhouse on Commerce Close was an important step in the company’s plan to become the biggest independent brewery in Queensland, and marked the first regional venue.
The Airlie Beach outlet will include a taproom and will be managed by a specialist in-house brewer serving a range of Ballistic beers, limited releases, and a selection of beers specifically chosen for the local market.
