The judge assigned to the lawsuit seeking the removal of Nueces County District Attorney Mark Gonzalez has recused himself.

Mark Gonzalez, a Democrat, is facing a petition alleging he should be removed due to "incompetency, official misconduct, and failure to give bond."

214th District Court Judge Inna Klein was accused of watching jury deliberations via closed-circuit TV. Deliberations are supposed to be confidential.

“If it’s man power that’s the issue that we have because we are twelve people down, you call me, I’ll try the case myself,” Gonzalez said.
