Assistant Sheriff Kristen Morales was hit Tuesday with a motion to recover $161,447 in expert and attorneys’ fees in her unsuccessful legal case.

Sheriff Hutson spent most of her time being grilled about why so few people know about the proposal, including the councilmembers themselves.

“One could say that people should have been let go sooner rather than later. But hindsight is 20-20,” said Sade Dumas.

A recording obtained exclusively by WWL-TV features Sheriff Hutson reading the riot act to four of her top executives, warning them to shape up or get out.

An OPSO spokesperson said that Sheriff Hutson will respond to the subpoena "in a timely manner."

The New Orleans Office of Inspector General has issued a subpoena for records surrounding the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office organization chart, termination and new hire reports, as well as any documents related to the hotel rooms booked during Carnival 2023.
