That the NZ Nurses Organisation did not reject the “offer” out of hand indicates that it is organising yet another betrayal and, given its record, will seek to impose the Labour government’s pay freeze.

The DHB asked for a special exception but the request was turned down by the NZ Nurses Organisation.

In line with the Labour-led government’s pay freeze, the union is preparing a repeat of its 2018 sellout of the nurses’ struggle over pay and hospital conditions.
