Judge says said he did not believe the errors that led to the mistrial in David Hamptons capital murder trial were made intentionally by prosecutors.

The mistrial was declared Thursday following several incidents where inadmissible statements about the defendant were made in court.

David Wayne Hampton is charged with capital murder in the Aug. 3, 2019 slaying of Celestino Rodriguez.

David Wayne Hampton now faces a possible punishment of life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
