David Withee of Fargo writes, "A 2006 National Bureau of Economic Research study showed (drug) prices from 1986 to 2004 in the EU rose at the same rate as general consumer prices, but U.S. prices rose about 40% more than consumer prices."

The measure is designed to support only the city's police and fire services, and would increase the city portion of sales tax from 2% to 2.5%. If the measure passes, it could generate up to $2.4 million in 2023.
