A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a stabbing in St Leonards. Saturday, 15th May 2021, 10:07 am The victim was out in Hastings town centre when he met a group of people on November 3 2018. He got talking to a woman in the group, police say. According to police, Dean Ellis, a factory worker of Old Church Road in St Leonards, was part of this group and became jealous of the victim talking with the woman. Ellis was told to go home and after he left, the rest of the group continued their night out, police say.

Dean Ellis will be locked up for seven years after stabbing a man he met on a night out in Hastings. On November 3, 2018, the victim had been enjoying an evening at a pub in the town centre when he met a group of people. One of those people was Ellis, a factory worker of Old Church Road, St Leonards. As the night wore on, the 33-year-old became increasingly jealous of the victim talking with a woman who was also part of the group.
