Federal authorities secured at least one conviction of an individual orchestrating a complex fraud scheme that could have impacted your dealership or finance company.

Police say the Douglasville woman and her son went on a "multi-state-criminal journey to Florida" with a loaded handgun in her waistband and a stolen U-Haul filled with fraudulently-obtained identities.

A convicted felon from Georgia was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison for enlisting her son in a multi-state fraud scheme involving identity theft, dark web and stolen vehicles.
