Share Updated: 1:16 PM EDT May 3, 2021 WLWT Digital Staff WLWT Digital Staff A 20-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly dealing marijuana and controlled substances to school kids in Dearborn County, according to Dearborn and Ohio County Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens.Deddens and Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry said Noah Sauntry, 20, has been charged with dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance, corrupt business influence, dealing in marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.Dearborn County Sheriff detectives starting investigating Sauntry after getting multiple tips that he was using Snapchat to sell marijuana, THC vape cartridges and other controlled substances including acid or LSD to area high school students."Over the past few months, there has been an uptick in juvenile delinquency cases involving THC vape cartridge use in schools," Deddens said, "I applaud the work of the Dearborn County Sheriff's detectives and deputies assigned to the Special Crimes Unit on their investigation. I hope this arrest helps put a stop to the increased use of drugs in our schools."Detectives started surveillance on Sauntry and were able to follow him to areas where law enforcement said large amount of drugs are dealt.Deputies followed Sauntry in his car and after observing him violate several traffic violations, they pulled him over.Deputies said they could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. After searching the car, they found around 40 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and approximately 55 grams of marijuana "wax." Sheriff deputies then issued a search warrant on Sauntry's home, where they found marijuana, items commonly used to package and sell drugs, an AR-15, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and more than $3,000.Witnesses told detectives that Sauntry deals marijuana "wax," psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, THC vape cartridges and THC vape juice.They said he usually sells to people around 15 years old to early 20s.He would contact them through Snapchat, advertising the drugs as "stock" by posting videos and pictures on his Snapchat story."Anyone who chooses to deal drugs to kids needs to know that we are looking for you," McHenry said. "We have one of the best teams in the State which includes our School Resource Officers and our message is simple. We will catch you and put an end to your operation."Sauntry is currently being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center pending an initial hearing.
