DEMING – Word spread quickly in Deming when the New Mexico Department of Health released its update on the statewide COVID-19 map for the two-week period beginning Feb. 24. Nineteen New Mexico counties reached the Yellow Level and six at the Green Level, at which there are fewer restrictions on commercial and day-to-day activities amid decreased virus risk. Among those Yellow Level counties is Luna.
“Luna County is very proud of the effort our citizens put in, allowing the county to move into the Yellow Level category, with respect to COVID positivity rates,” said Luna County Manager Chris Brice. “This is very good news for our local businesses and residents.
