On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO received the Ambassador of Portugal, His Excellency Mr Pedro Rodrigues da Silva, Mrs Rosa Valente da Silva, and Portuguese Honorary Consul, Mrs Diana Lopes.

The son of a policeman who was allegedly mowed down by a stolen car had big dreams of joining the force and working with his father.
Senior Constable David Masters, 53, was hit and killed while trying to stop a Hyundai Kona SUV with tyre-deflating road spikes on the Bruce Highway near Deception Bay, north of Brisbane, at 3am on Saturday.
Alleged passenger Kari O’Brien, 24, was arrested at her home in the Moreton Bay Region and charged with murder on Sunday, but detectives are still searching for the alleged driver, Skye Anne Wallis, 33.
Queensland Police Union boss Ian Leavers said on Monday that Mr Masters childhood sweetheart wife Sharon and their son Jack were shattered by his sudden death.

Police are searching for a 33-year-old woman suspected of fatally running over a cop in a stolen car, while a passenger has been charged with murder.
Senior Constable David Masters, 53, died on the scene when he was hit by a white Hyundai Kona SUV while trying to deploy a tyre-deflating device on the Bruce Highway, near Deception Bay north of Brisbane, at 3am on Saturday.
The vehicle was later set alight and its burnt-out remains discovered 25km away in Moodlu.
Police have released photos of Skye Anne Wallis, 33, who they suspect was behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck Senior Constable Masters.
Armed police have surrounded a home as they continue the hunt for the driver of a stolen car who allegedly mowed down a brave officer trying to pull him over.

Police have since locked in on a home in Moodlu after the burnt remains of the stolen car were found nearby.
It s unclear if the accused car thief and killer is inside the home, but police have confirmed they are yet to make any arrests.
