We go from seeing passengers happily documenting their holidays onboard the luxury cruise, to the moment the captain announces over the intercom that a recently disembarked passenger has tested positive for Covid-19. When the ship returns to the port of Yokohoma on its last day and is held up by Japanese health officials for screening, one passenger gleefully celebrates the fact they’re getting a “free day on the cruise ship”.
