The Michigan State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire at a farm belonging to the family of Dee Warner, a Lenawee County woman who disappeared in 2021.

A large barn fire at Hardy Farms, owned by the brother of missing Lenawee County woman Dee Warner, is under investigation by the state fire marshal.

The Lenawee County Medical Examiner determined Melissa Gilberts death was accidental, caused by probable hypothermia due to exposure to damp cold.

Through the use of dental records, the Lenawee County Medical Examiner’s office identified the body found May 2 as that of Melissa Gilbert, 51.

Dee Warner's husband withdrew his objection during a pretrial Friday during which family petitioned a judge to have Dee declared legally dead.

A probate court judge heard from both attorneys Friday as Dee Warner’s family fights to get the mother of five legally declared dead.

Attorneys for the family appeared in front of a judge on May 12.

With the investigation still active, MSP says they can't reveal if they found any new evidence, leaving Dee Warner's family and neighbors still in the dark.

Multiple searches are underway right now in Lenawee County in a massive effort to locate Dee Warner, the mother of five who went missing there just over two years ago.
