Deep Fork Trail News Today

A bike ride from the Adventure District to Lake Hefner will soon be possible with construction of the new Deep Fork trail in center of Oklahoma City.

Street improvement projects designed to benefit businesses and residents are coming in under budget, leaving $19.6 million available to fund additional projects, Public Works Director Eric Wenger reported to the Oklahoma City Council this week.

Oklahoma City residents who enjoy using the city’s trail system as a healthy way to get places or simply as a way to exercise should know that projects to improve citywide trails and bike lanes – part of the Better Streets, Safer City program – are either getting closer to completion or will begin soon, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber reports.
