Park managers of the Blue Ridge Parkway say they’ll have to close part of the famous roadway in the High Country to make some repairs. Officials say crews need to address some structural problems on the roadway in the Deep Gap and Linville Falls areas. The issues were found during an assessment by the National Park Service and Federal Highway Administration engineers. Hazards including cracking and rockfall present a potential danger to visitors.
