Madhya Pradesh has become the latest addition in the list of states which have imposed ban on liquor sale on January 22 on the occassion of Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Former BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash flagged off Luvkush Rath from the state office today. The chariot has been taken out under the auspices of Kushwaha Mahasabha. Through which invitations will be distributed on the occasion of the consecration of Ram Lala in the Ayodhya
States including Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand have declared January 22 as a dry day in anticipation of the grand Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Liquor shops will remain closed on that day in these states. The Excise Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh has directed the closure of all liquor shops in the state. BJP leaders in Jharkhand and Delhi have also demanded a ban on the sale of liquor on January 22. The Delhi government has not yet made a decision regarding this demand.
