And it demonstrates what happens when the president unilaterally decides to issue an executive order affecting immigration without securing the border. The number of children more than doubled between fiscal year 2011 and fiscal year 2013. Yet until just recently, the president did not even speak out to warn their parents and to tell them that the bjojourney wd be horrendous for their children and they would be sent home. We know many of these children have been abused or harmed on their way here. And when the wave became evident two years ago, the president took no action at that time to try to stem the tide. We know that it will take a long time before all of these children have hearings that could lead to their being support home, if they show up at all for the adjudications. So my question is what specifically is the administration doing to propose changes in the laws or regulations right now so that these children can be safely and immediately put on planes and returned to their p

And this administration has not used that, to really say this is what i did for you, with this act. Obama talks about [inaudible] the assumption ever and understands it and i think thats a false assumption. I just wonder what you thought of that. I cant say that i followed all of the ways the Lilly Ledbetter act has been used, but i was involved in a debate just a couple weeks ago that wasnt in the context of the election particularly, but about whether or not the ledbetter act was important at all and whether the paycheck fairness act, which we take things a step further, was a good idea or not a good idea. And there are those who are claimi

The best way to do well abroad is to do well at home. If we are strong domestically, we can be strong abroad. Your point is well taken. We are a country for a reason. Hopefully by our example and with our assistance, we can help others do it well also. Right now, especially since were barely coming back from that deep recession, its time to really make sure that we take care of folks in america who work very hard to build this country. I dont think we will ever shirk our responsibility around the world, i do think we need to be very smart about how we do things. Whether it is iraq or people who come to our border, we have to do this the smart way. We dont want to give the wrong impression of what we are trying to do whether it is an iraq war kids at the border. Thank you for your question. Before hu

Addressing, that he had to enforce the law even if that meant deporting hard cases with minors involved. Sometimes there is inherent injustice where you were born. No president can solve that. Obama said, but president s must send the message that you cant just show up on the border, plead for asylum or Refugee Status and hope to get it. That anyone can come in means effectively you dont have any kind of system, obama said we are a nation with borders that must be enforced. Effectively the proposal for 3. 7 billion that has come over has nothing to do with dispelling the idea and the belief in these Central American countries that they can come here, if they get to our border, that they can stay. They cant stay. They cannot stay. If they believe theyre victims of persecution, go to our consulate, go to our embassy. But we cannot, we cannot have this unlimited flow of individuals. And finally, id just ill yield to my colleagues. But what about people in other parts of the world . Dont t
