Ralph F. DiOrrio, 73, of Millsboro, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
Ralph was born in Wilmington July 13, 1947, son of the late Thomas DiOrrio and the late Virgie (Sears) DiOrrio. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
After his service to his country, Ralph continued to serve his community as a Wilmington City Police Officer, retiring in 1988, after 20 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro, VFW Post 6984 in Milton and the Delaware Association of Police.
Once Ralph retired and moved to Millsboro, he enjoyed the “beach life”. He spent countless hours with his family fishing, boating and crabbing. Ralph also enjoyed traveling, hunting and playing cards and billards. The most important thing in life to him was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
