Delhi reported 141 fresh Covid cases and one more death on Sunday, while the positivity rate stood at 1.29 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.
Delhi witnessed nine coronavirus deaths in December so far as the city is fighting a massive rise in virus cases believed to be driven by the new Omicron variant. This is the highest number of deaths the city witnessed in the last four months.
Delhi recorded zero death due to Covid-19 and 41 fresh cases in a day with a positivity rate of 0.07 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department on Friday.
Delhi reported 1,491 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the national capital dipped to 1.93 per cent - a nearly nine-week low.

The national capital recorded 338 COVID-19 deaths and 19,953 cases in a day with a positivity rate of 26.73 percent, according to the health bulletin issued by the Delhi health department on Wednesday morning. The department could not release the document, which contains important figures reflecting the coronavirus situation in the city, on Tuesday night, and said, âwe are also looking into the reasons why it was delayedâ.
This is the second time on the trot that the number of cases remained below 20,000.
