Gopal Rai’s meeting with Village Development Board officials comes a week after Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena’s announcement that he, along with the district magistrates, will be staying in villages to understand problems of residents.

Days after L-G VK Saxena announced the initiative during an interaction with representatives of 180 villages at Raj Niwas, the capital’s bureaucracy will spend Sunday night at villages to chalk out the next steps towards the “comprehensive” development of rural Delhi.
