Reporter charging drivers to use an express lane help traffic through this area which can be pretty bad. They havent gotten far enough to talk about how much it would cost you but people can use the express lane in the hopes of keeping people moving at 45 miles an hour. The possibility of carpool lanes. There are none on 101 or 280 north of redwood city. That has evolved into talk of express lanes. Now there are questions where would the money go. Would this cause congestion and push traffic on to neighborhood streets. In some sections of the freeway they would repurpose existing lanes.
