Federal officials say a second defendant has pleaded guilty for a series of drive-by shootings at the homes of state and local Albuquerque lawmakers after the 2022 election.
A second conspirator has pleaded guilty to federal charges in connection to a series of shootings targeting the homes of Democratic officials in New Mexico following a GOP candidate’s failed campaign in a 2022 local election, according to court documents.
Demetrio Trujillo told prosecutors that he’d been paid by Solomon Peña, who had selected the targets because he believed that they’d rigged an election against him in 2022.
