Researchers have been excavating a mass grave in a ravine near Granada, Spain They have found remains of people thought to have been shot sometime in 1936 It is thought they were killed as part of reprisals by the nationalist Franco regime Its hoped that by excavating the site they will be able to identify the remains and help bring closure to people still searching for relatives lost during the civil war
