Judy Maki, 78, passed away on November 10th, in Moose Lake, MN, after a brave battle with cancer. She was the wife of James William Maki. They shared 56 years together. Judy is survived by her husband Jim, sons Scot Maki (Maricielo Maki Acero), Kevin Maki (Jaelynn Maki), and granddaughters Margo, Mia and Marina. Born in Duluth, MN, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sigrid Jacobson. She graduated Denfeld High School. She retired after 19 years at the DECC as the dining room supervisor. She loved to cook and travel. She loved being a Grandma and loved to hold any baby! She absolutely adored her 3 granddaughters. Any time she could spend with them was cherished. They will always remember her biscotti, chicken wild rice soup and banana bread. The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 25th, from 12-4PM at Doc’s Bar & Grill in Sturgeon Lake. All are welcome.
