BNKD President Dennis Happel reached out directly to Mayor Rob Green over email about his decision but offered no insight into why he was pulling the plan.
The amendment gives BNKD the preliminary go-ahead to construct 86 dwellings southwest of First Street and Union Road, an increase from the 58 proposed in 2013.
The city is reportedly starved for housing as its western growth continues while Aldrich school families are desperate for an Arbors Drive extension to help alleviate traffic and safety concerns.
