A Minneapolis man is now facing charges in a deadly bicycle crash in Rosemount last year in which investigators now say the suspect was driving on the shoulder when he hit and killed a priest.
Dennis "Denny" Dempsey, a priest at Church of the Risen Savior, was killed when a car hit him while he was riding his bike at about 3:23 p.m. Monday near County Road 42 and 145th Street West.
Father Denny Dempsey, 73, of the Church of the Risen Savior was the bicyclist who was killed on County Road 42 near West 145th Street, the church shared on Tuesday.
The Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville said that Dennis Keith Dempsey, who served the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for 41 years, was the new parish priest there.
