Assistant Lecturer in Production Design | The Irish Film & Television Network

  The Department of Creative Arts, Media and Music at Dundalk Institute of Technology seeks applications for the following position: Assistant Lecturer in Production Design Job Specification: The position calls for a highly motivated individual who will have a proven track record in working as a production designer for Film and Television. Candidates should have detailed knowledge and experience of current industry practice and be able to demonstrate expertise in production design and a portfolio of relevant experience in the industry. Candidates should have suitable educational qualifications and teaching experience at third-level would be desirable. The appointee will be required to teach one module in Production Design to students on BA (Hons) Film and Television Production and the teaching will be delivered on one day a week over a six-week period.

Punch Newspapers Sections Tell us about your educational background. I graduated from the Department of Creative Arts at the University of Lagos where I majored in acting and writing. How did your journey into the entertainment industry begin? I think I have always known that is where I belong. I began to doubt when my parents at the time refused to fill it in my UTME form. I started wondering if it was a path worth treading until I found myself there. This to me was an affirmation that that is where I belong and so everything I did from when I served to when I was job hunting brought me closer to who I am today.
