Relocation process has begun
La Soufrière’s volcanic ash caused building in Sandy Bay to collapse.
A number of people from the north eastern and north western areas of mainland St. Vincent who were severely affected by the eruption of the La Soufriere Volcano, will be relocated.
The assurance was given by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves while speaking on NBN Radio on Wednesday morning.
As a matter of fact, Dr. Gonsalves indicated that the process has already started to relocate people in some communities and that a Committee has already been established to advise and manage that process.
