The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
GARDENER FLEES: On April 20, deputies were dispatched to a home in the Triple Creek neighborhood in Bogart, where a man cutting grass reported he stopped near a home only to be confronted by a woman dressed in a pink top, pajama bottoms and holding a gun pointed at him. “You need to get the (expletive) out of here,” the woman said, according to the man. The man said he then hopped aboard his lawn mower and fled to his truck, where he called his supervisor. The 33-year-old Comer man, who has an infant child, told the deputy he thought he was going to be shot for cutting grass. A deputy questioned the woman, who was chatting with the garbage man, but she denied pointing a gun at the mower. She said she only went outside and told the man “to git” at which point he fled. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
RAM RAGE: On April 1, a 40-year-old woman reported that about 8:50 p.m. she was driving home on Hog Mountain Road when she was approached by an aggressive driver. She was traveling about 40 mph when a silver Dodge Ram pickup began tailgating her with its bright lights on. She pulled over to let the pickup pass, but after it did, the driver began slamming on the brakes. The pickup then pulled over, so she passed it and turned into Princeton Farms subdivision. The pickup followed and when they both stopped, the Dodge driver asked if she knew the speed limit on Hog Mountain Road as there is a law preventing her from driving so slow. They had an exchange of words and when she tried to get his license plate number, the angry man drove off.
