On Wednesday, Joran van der Sloot was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pled guilty to wire fraud and extortion.

Prosecutors in Aruba have requested records from the US Department of Justices investigation of Joran van der Sloot, after he admitted Thursday to killing Natalee Holloway in 2005.

“His hold over me is gone,” Beth Holloway said of Joran van der Sloot, the longtime suspect, who confessed to killing her daughter after she resisted his advances on a beach in Aruba in 2005.
